TECHNICAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER OF THE SJM GROUP IN SOUTH KOREA OFFERS OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSTANDING DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT, INNOVATIVE DESIGN SOLUTIONS AND STATE-OF-THE-ART TESTING AND VALIDATION TECHNOLOGY.

The company's know-how in technical development and customer orientation enable us to work closely with all well-known automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturers. The team can look back on decades of experience that is collected in a knowledge database. This also contains the information from vehicle measurements on over 30 test tracks from vehicle manufacturers around the world. This know-how allows a targeted, flexible and efficient product development.

State-of-the-art simulation techniques such as FEA modeling are used to forecast service life to enable an efficient development process. We also have our own prototype production line. Local support teams for engineering issues in Europe, North America, China and South Korea guarantee close and direct contact with our customers' development departments. Our engineers work seamlessly with the development departments of the exhaust system manufacturers and the OE vehicle manufacturers in order to develop a holistic system solution for every decoupling system.

Production

THE CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOOLS AND MACHINERY REQUIRED FOR THE COMPONENT PRODUCTION AND MASS PRODUCTION IS ALMOST 100% IN-HOUSE BY SJM.

Using the latest technologies, our production systems are developed exclusively in-house in order to take into account the special manufacturing techniques that are required for production. This allows an efficient design of the production processes, the consideration of product-specific production steps and the compliance with the required quality standards. Thanks to standardized production processes and manufacturing centers, most products can be manufactured at any of our production sites around the world. At SJM, we pride ourselves on offering high quality products. Constant quality control and detailed tests are part of everyday life in production. The production capacities can be adjusted in our decentralized manufacturing plants within a very short time.
